Kia Models With 3rd Row Seating

Growing families often find themselves needing more of everything — more food, more clothing, more toys, and more time. Growing families also need more passenger room in their cars, trucks, and SUVs.

If you find yourself ready to upsize to a larger, more family-friendly vehicle, Huffines Kia McKinney can help. We have a vast selection of three-row SUVs designed to improve how you move around town and on your fun family vacations. To help you decide which Kia model works best for your family, we’ve created this breakdown of three-row Kia models and their best features.

Kia Carnival MPV

Kia’s newest family vehicle, the Carnival MPV, represents the forward-thinking philosophy of the brand. Families love this multi-purpose vehicle for its innovative design, spacious cabin, and in-vehicle technology. Plus, parents love its style and performance, making it a pleasure to haul the kids to soccer or take the family on vacation.

The Kia Carnival MPV earned best-in-class passenger and cargo volume. At 168.2 cubic feet of space for up to eight people, the Carnival MPV has more head, leg, and hip room than other vehicles in its class in all three rows. In addition, Carnival MPV boasts more cargo volume, coming in at 40.2 cubic feet behind the third row and topping out at 145.1 cubic feet with the second and third-row stowed. Just wait until you learn about the Carnival’s trims.

Second-row Slide-Flex seating and a third row that stores beneath the floor at the push of a button make configuring the Carnival a breeze. Premium cloth, upscale Syntex, or genuine leather upholstery give buyers comfortable choices. A dual-screen rear entertainment system with device mirroring technology keeps your passengers entertained. The 12.3-inch interactive display powers your in-vehicle tech and syncs your cellphones with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Kia’s Drive Wise suite of driver-assist systems delivers confident driving. You’ll love the 360-degree surround-view camera system when navigating tight parking lots. Plus, you get help on the highway with blind-spot monitoring and forward-collision systems. A navigation-based cruise control system makes longer trips less fatiguing by keeping you at a preset speed and distance in traffic, even to a complete stop, while helping you navigate turns and lane changes.

Under the hood, you find a 3.5-liter V-6 engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain delivers 290 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque and can tow up to 3,500 pounds when properly equipped.

Kia Telluride SUV

The Kia Telluride delivers SUV performance with full-size family proportions. It comes with three rows of seating for up to eight people, and its 178.1 cubic feet of passenger volume make it one of the most spacious SUVs on the market. It doesn’t open up quite as large as the Carnival MPV, but its 21 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row provides ample room for the sports gear or grocery haul with ease. When you need to carry more, the second and third rows stow, allowing up to 87 cubic feet of storage. The 2022 Kia Telluride trims have a lot to offer!

The base model comes nicely equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. You upgrade from premium cloth to synthetic leather and genuine leather upholstery as you move up the trim levels. Options include a dual-panel sunroof, a 10-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, up to five USB ports, and ambient lighting.

You also get Kia Drive Wise, including a safe exit assist, highway driving assist, forward-collision avoidance, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, driver attention warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and emergency braking systems.

Kia uses a 3.8-liter Lambda V-6 engine paired with an electronically controlled eight-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain puts out an impressive 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. In addition, you can tow up to 5,000 pounds, which makes towing your camper or boat possible.

Every Telluride features Kia’s Active On-Demand All-Wheel-Drive system. This system automatically engages all-wheel drive when it senses the need for more traction. You can also lock the all-wheel-drive system manually in severe conditions.

Kia Sorento

Kia’s midsize Sorento SUV measures slightly smaller than the Telluride, coming in at 105.3 cubic feet of passenger volume. However, you can fit up to seven people inside and still enjoy 12.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row. Stowing the second and third-row seats opens up a maximum of 75.5 cubic feet of room. The seating offers multiple configurations with a double row that split/folds in a 40/20/40 format while the third-row split/folds in a 50/50 design. The Kia Sorento’s trims also have a lot to offer, for anyone in the market for an SUV.

You get an 8-inch touchscreen with USB ports, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth for wireless and hands-free operations on the base model. You also get a six-speaker sound system with an HD radio. The upper trim SX features an upgraded Harman Kardon 10-speaker audio system delivering theater-quality sound. You also get a satellite radio, a wireless phone charger, and a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen to power your infotainment.

Your family rides safer with the LATCH system for car seats. Additional systems include the convenient hill start assist, electronic stability control, and traction control that inspire more confident driving. In addition, you’ll enjoy the Kia Drive Wise suite of driver-assist systems designed to keep you and your family safer.

The Sorento offers two engines. The lower trims come with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain gives you 191 horsepower and 182 pound-feet of torque. Upper edges use a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with the same transmission, which puts out an impressive 281 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque. In addition, every trim but the LX offers an all-wheel-drive as an option.
