Why Choose the Kia Carnival for your Family?

The all-new 2022 Kia Carnival is a multipurpose vehicle that perfectly combines the space and versatility of a minivan with the rugged looks and practicality of an SUV. The Carnival MPV is now available at Huffines Kia McKinney. It offers powerful performance, a family-friendly cabin, and many innovative convenience and technology features that set it apart from other family vehicles.

The Carnival is available in four well-appointed trims — LX, EX, SX, and SX Prestige, each with increasing levels of comfort and equipment. With the Carnival’s flexible seating configurations, you can maximize your passenger and cargo capacity to suit your family’s needs. Let’s take a look at some reasons why you should choose the Carnival for your next vehicle.

Outstanding Exterior Design

With its bold front-end styling, long sculpted profile, and distinctive rear end, the 2022 Kia Carnival creates an impressive road presence. Unique front and rear LED signature lighting ensures that this MPV will stand out on the roads of McKinney and the surrounding areas of Texas day and night.

Standard exterior features for the LX include a stylish silver-painted grille, LED headlights and daytime running lights, 17-inch alloy wheels, chrome-accented door handles, and body-color  heated power mirrors with integrated turn signals. Power-sliding rear doors provide easy access to the rear seats.

Stepping up to the EX trim gets you 19-inch wheels and a smart power tailgate that opens automatically when you stand behind the car with your smart key. The SX trim offers a matte chrome grille, satin chrome accents, front and rear skid plates, LED fog lights, power-folding mirrors, and roof rails. The range-topping SX Prestige adds dual power sunroofs and LED taillights.

Powerful and Refined Performance

All Carnival models are powered by a refined 3.5-liter V-6 engine that delivers 290 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque to the front wheels. It’s paired with a slick-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain offers a blend of performance and economy, returning up to 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg for highway driving. The Carnival can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in around 7 seconds and has a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 pounds.

You and your passengers will enjoy a smooth and composed ride when cruising on the highway, while the precise and nicely weighted steering makes light work of negotiating twisty back roads or city streets. The Carnival’s height and large windows give everybody superb outward visibility.

Spacious and Versatile Cabin

The Carnival offers seating for eight people — or seven with the available second-row captain’s chairs. With a full load of passengers, you have 40.2 cubic feet of space for your family’s gear. You can easily fold the 60/40-split third-row seats flat for a level load floor. The second-row seats fold to give you more cargo space. When you’ve got more gear than people to carry, folding the third row and removing the second-row seats (in all but the SX Prestige) gives you a massive 145.1-cubic-foot cargo area.

All three rows offer plenty of room for your family to get comfortable. Access to the third row is easy thanks to the one-touch folding and sliding second-row seats. The available Slide-Flex seating features a second-row middle seat that can move toward the front. You can also fold the center seat down to create a table for the second and third rows.

Interior Features

In the Carnival LX trim’s stylish cabin, you’ll find fabric upholstery, second-row captain’s chairs, and a tilting and telescoping steering column. The air conditioning features rear vents to keep your passengers cool. An available LX Seat Package adds simulated leather upholstery, a second-row bench seat, heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a leather-bound steering wheel and shift knob.

EX models and up offer three-zone automatic temperature control, while the SX adds a power-adjustable passenger seat, ventilated front seats, and two 115-volt power inverters. The luxurious SX Prestige features perforated and embossed leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. This model also has second-row heated and ventilated VIP lounge seats that fully recline with wing-out headrests and power-extending leg rests.

Cutting-Edge Technology

With the Carnival’s standard smart key technology, you can lock and unlock your vehicle without touching your key, and start it remotely or with the push-button start. The system also features an immobilizer.

The LX trim’s infotainment system features an 8-inch touch screen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth wireless technology for hands-free calling and media streaming, voice recognition, and a six-speaker sound system. Six USB charging ports and a front USB data port ensure that passengers in all three rows can keep their mobile devices fully charged.

In the EX and SX trims, you get a 12.3-inch touch screen, a navigation system, UVO link remote connectivity, and a wireless phone charger, plus eight-speaker audio with satellite radio. The Passenger Talk intercom system enables front and rear passengers to talk through the Carnival’s speakers, while Passenger View shows a camera display of the rear seats on the touch screen.

The SX and SX Prestige add a dual-screen rear-seat entertainment system to keep your family amused. The top trim also offers a Bose 12-speaker surround sound system for studio-quality music reproduction.

Kia Drive Wise

Safety doesn’t take a back seat in the Kia Carnival, which comes standard with the Kia Drive Wise suite of driver assistance technologies. It includes driver attention warning, forward collision mitigation, pedestrian detection, lane-following assist, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, and reverse emergency braking. Rear occupant alert and safe exit assist help keep passengers safe.

The EX trim adds navigation-based adaptive cruise control, highway driving assist, and an upgraded forward collision mitigation system. SX models offer a surround-view monitor, while the SX Prestige has a blind-spot monitor that shows a live camera display of your blind spot in the digital instrument cluster.
