The all-new 2022 Kia Carnival, now available at Huffines Kia McKinney, combines the space and versatility of a minivan with the rugged looks and practicality of an SUV. This multipurpose vehicle (MPV) offers powerful performance, a family-friendly cabin, and many innovative convenience and technology features that set it apart from other family vehicles.

Trim Options and Seating Configurations

The Carnival has four trims: LX, EX, SX, and SX Prestige. Each trim offers increasing levels of comfort and equipment. Its flexible seating configurations maximize passenger and cargo capacity to suit your family’s needs. Let’s explore some reasons to choose the Carnival for your next vehicle.

Outstanding Exterior Design

The 2022 Kia Carnival boasts bold front-end styling, an extended sculpted profile, and a distinctive rear end, creating an impressive road presence. Unique front and rear LED signature lighting ensures that this MPV stands out on the roads of McKinney and the surrounding areas of Texas day and night.

Standard exterior features for the LX include a silver-painted grille, LED headlights and daytime running lights, 17-inch alloy wheels, chrome-accented door handles, and body-color heated power mirrors with integrated turn signals. Power-sliding rear doors provide easy access to the rear seats.

The EX trim upgrades to 19-inch wheels and an intelligent power tailgate that opens automatically when you stand behind the car with your smart key. The SX trim adds a matte chrome grille, satin chrome accents, front and rear skid plates, LED fog lights, power-folding mirrors, and roof rails. The SX Prestige includes dual-power sunroofs and LED taillights.

Powerful and Refined Performance

All Carnival models are powered by a 3.5-liter V-6 engine that delivers 290 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque to the front wheels, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain offers a blend of performance and economy, achieving up to 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. The Carnival can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in around 7 seconds and has a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 pounds.

The Carnival provides a smooth and composed ride on highways, while its precise steering makes navigating twisty back roads or city streets easy. Its height and large windows offer superb outward visibility.

Spacious and Versatile Cabin

The Carnival seats eight or seven people with the available second-row captain’s chairs. With all seats in use, you have 40.2 cubic feet of space for your gear. The 60/40-split third-row seats fold flat for a level load floor, and the second-row seats fold for additional cargo space. When more cargo space is needed, folding the third row and removing the second-row seats (in all but the SX Prestige) provides a massive 145.1 cubic-foot cargo area.

All three rows offer ample room for comfort, and access to the third row is easy with one-touch folding and sliding second-row seats. Slide-Flex seating features a second-row middle seat that can move forward or create a table for the second and third rows.

Interior Features

The Carnival LX features fabric upholstery, second-row captain’s chairs, and a tilting and telescoping steering column. Rear air conditioning vents keep passengers cool. The LX Seat Package adds simulated leather upholstery, a second-row bench seat, heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a leather-bound steering wheel and shift knob.

EX models and higher trims offer three-zone automatic temperature control. The SX adds a power-adjustable passenger seat, ventilated front seats, and two 115-volt power inverters. The SX Prestige includes perforated and embossed leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. It also includes second-row heated and ventilated VIP lounge seats that fully recline with wing-out headrests and power-extending leg rests.

Cutting-Edge Technology

The Carnival’s standard intelligent key technology allows you to lock and unlock your vehicle without touching your key and start it remotely or with a push-button start. The LX trim’s infotainment system includes an 8-inch touchscreen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, voice recognition, and a six-speaker sound system. Six USB charging ports and a front USB data port ensure passengers can keep their devices charged.

The EX and SX trims feature a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a navigation system, UVO link remote connectivity, a wireless phone charger, and eight-speaker audio with satellite radio. The Passenger Talk intercom system allows front and rear passengers to talk through the Carnival’s speakers, while Passenger View shows a camera display of the rear seats on the touchscreen.
